Yes, Wagner is back. This time, it’s from his opera Lohengrin: the Bridal Chorus (Treulich geführt), first played in 1850. This particular rendition, though not on an organ, still sounds brilliant. It was performed by the BBC singers, Symphony Chorus & Orchestra on the Last Night of the Proms in the Royal Albert Hall, 2010.

Oh, this version is sung in English too.

It seems my choice of music is moving slowly towards the present again…shall next present some of Mozart’s famous Requiem (yes, the one he never finished).
